Taken at a park in Plano, TX not long before the sun started setting. In 1080 AVCHD mode, it appears that the zoom is digital. At least in this instance. Other video I've taken allowed me to use the optical zoom. Not sure why it chose not to this time. It appears to get a little blocky in faster motion, but really sharpens up quickly when it slows. While some of the video may seam a bit jerky, I was walking along with the camera sideways to me. The OIS did a pretty good job compared to all the other sample video I have from other non-stabilized cameras where I was walking and shooting at the same time. This is comparitively speaking, very smooth.
